Reviewing the wheelchair services across the three boroughs
11/07/2017
BHR CCGs have been reviewing the wheelchair services across the three boroughs, and are seeking service user and carer feedback on service redesign.
The CCGs are looking to hold an engagement event on 3 August 2017, 15.00-17.00 and are seeking to gauge interest in the event.
The purpose of the engagement event will be to update users and carers on where we are with the review and gain feedback on the proposed service.
If you are interested in attending the event please email harpreet.singh@nhs.net and confirmation of arrangements will be emailed to you.
If you are unable to attend any events but would like to provide feedback about the service and where improvements can be made, please complete the survey via the link - http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/WOOVP/
The changes being proposed here will have a significant impact on the lives of people who rely on the support of local wheelchair services, not only for the assessment and supply of NHS funded wheelchairs, but also the ongoing assessments often needed for ergonomic and pressure relieving seating solutions.
I therefore urge that you share this opportunity to engage and consult on this issue with as many groups and individuals in your network that this proposal is likely to affect and to encourage them to come along, get involved and have their say.
